2018 Performance “Conversation” Process

Staff colleagues and their supervisors:
As we continue our journey toward becoming a Strengths-based organization, human resources desires to partner with supervisors and employees through offering resources for informative and transformational conversations. 
One of those opportunities comes through our annual performance review process. To reflect this shift in emphasis toward ongoing conversations, our annual performance review process will now be called the Annual Performance Conversation. This year’s focus, “Developing Ongoing Conversations,” builds on the work we’ve done previously around creating intentional conversations about your growth and development from a Strengths-based perspective. 
The forms for this year’s performance conversation will remain the same as the forms used in 2017. The 2018 Annual Performance Conversation form and Annual Performance Conversation Guide will be available on the human resources website beginning March 19. 
New for 2018: Department-level Workshops
This year human resources will facilitate workshops at the department level to tailor conversations for the specific functions unique to each office. The HR Partners will meet with designated department heads to plan their workshops. Here are some key dates for the process:
February 22–March 16     Department head and HR Partner meetings
March 19–April 20           Department-level workshops
June 29                          Annual Performance Conversations due to human resources
