Finnern oversees all College of Arts and Sciences Academic Affairs. Among other tasks, she also oversees  the Academic Calendar, Commencement, Faculty Contracts, Promotion and Tenure, Academic Affairs budget, Summer School, Academic Appeals and Petitions, Academic Honesty and Dismissal, and CAS Advising.
