Bonawitz oversees the Education Unit at Bethel including CAS, CAPS, and GS. She is the Unit Leader reporting to the MN Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board (PELSB). An important aspect of her role is bridging the Education programs of CAS and CAPS/GS. She is also the Program Director for MA in Special Education. Prior to this Associate Dean role, she was a Professor of Education for Special Education and the Assistant Dean of the Center for Access and Integration (OARS and BUILD).
