  1. Before you apply

    The net price calculator lets you estimate your financial aid award and see that a Bethel education is within reach. With straightforward, transparent tuition—free of inflated figures—you’ll have a clear starting point.

  2. Apply for aid

    Get started on your Free Application for Federal Student Aid. Completing the FAFSA is a key step in unlocking need-based aid, including opportunities like the Bethel Promise Grant, which can lower tuition for qualifying Minnesota students​.

  3. After you're offered financial aid

    Once you receive your financial aid offer, you’ll find that Bethel provides a clear path to understanding your costs—your price, scholarships, and need-based aid all come together to help you make an informed decision.

  4. Maintaining your eligibility

    To continue receiving financial aid, you’ll need to meet Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) standards. But you won't do it alone. Bethel provides resources like academic advising, tutoring, and more to help you stay on track.

Types of aid

Scholarships

A scholarship is a monetary gift that celebrates an academic achievement, special talent, or act of service. The best thing about a scholarship is that it doesn't need to be repaid.

Grants

Grants are a form of gift aid, meaning you don’t need to repay them. Most grants are based on your level of financial need determined by the results of your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Loans

Many students take out loans to help fund a portion of their college expenses. Loans must be repaid, so be sure to plan your finances carefully and borrow only what you can afford to repay.

Student employment
