Cost and Dates

50% Off Summer Housing to Full-Time Student Employees

All full-time summer Bethel student employees now qualify for 50% off on-campus summer housing. This discount applies to the ten-week summer housing period from May 27 to August 3. It does not apply to housing in August. Visit the Student Employment webpage for more information about summer employment. Please contact Office of People and Culture at 651.638.6119 with any questions regarding the housing discount.
The discount on summer housing is contingent upon:
  • You apply for and accept an on-campus student employment position.
  • Agree to full time employment during May 27-August 3.
  • The 50% rent reduction will be forfeited if you vacate, or are terminated, from your summer student employment position. If you choose to remain in on-campus summer housing, you will be charged the full rental rate.
  • Rate does not include August housing.
  • Cancellation fee of $75 will be applied to any application that is canceled after Monday, May 20 (the first day of finals week).

For General Student Summer Housing:

Summer housing is $125 a week / $1,250 for the ten weeks ending August 3.

If you plan on moving out early, you will need to indicate this on your application. A credit of $125 a week will be refunded to your account after your move out/checkout is complete. Weeks start and end at 4 p.m. on Saturday. Checkout must be completed by this time on the last week of your agreement.

Apply for Housing

Important Note: A two-week notice is required to cancel or make any date changes. A late fee of $75 will be assessed if proper notice isn't given.

  • Complete the summer housing application. The application opens on Wednesday, March 27 and closes at the end of day on Monday, May 20.
  • A $75 administrative fee will be applied to your bill if applying past the application closing date.

Important reminder: If you need housing from August 3 through the start of the academic year and will be living on campus in the fall, please review the August housing information.

Choose your roommates (optional)

If you would like to choose your own direct roommate, you can do that through the application link between March 27-April 28. Don't have a roommate? You'll be assigned with 1-4 other summer housing students.

Rooms will be pre-assigned by Residence Life by May 15

Moving In

All summer housing check ins (summer room) and checkouts (spring room) must take place between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Monday, May 27. No late check-in times—plan accordingly! You'll first need to pick up your key for your summer room at the Wingblade shack, then move all your belongings in, then go back to your spring hall for your checkout with an RA from that hall (be sure this is scheduled ahead of time). Your spring room must be completely emptied and cleaned prior to your checkout time.

Moving Out

Summer session ends on Saturday, August 3.

  • Students moving off campus must be checked out by 4 p.m. on the agreed upon check-out date on the housing application.
  • Set up a check-out with a summer housing staff member at least 48 hours in advance.
  • Any student checking out after 4 p.m., Saturday, August 3, will be charged a $75 late fine per day.

You are responsible for setting up a time to check out and turn in your key. Contact your summer housing staff member at least 2 days in advance to set up your time.
