Bethel University values our clinical preceptors and is committed to recognizing their contributions with an appropriate and meaningful adjunct clinical faculty rank. Preceptors who commit to training Bethel University clinical students and meet eligibility are granted this courtesy appointment along with the following benefits:

  1. Printed wall certificate and permission to use Adjunct Clinical Faculty title in personal CV and published information and/or bio
  2. Discounts on CME events offered through Bethel University
  3. Opportunities for teaching skill development and support
  4. Invitations and discounts on Bethel professional networking events
  5. Library access to Bethel University (including any publications and search engines available to faculty)
  6. Bethel Wellness Center Workout Facility use (including free classes such as free studio classes (Yoga, Zumba, Kickboxing, BodyPump, etc)
  7. Discounts at Bethel University Campus Store and local retailers
  8. Free attendance at Bethel University events offered to faculty (athletic contests, fine arts performances, etc.)

Qualifications and Renewal:

  1. Maintain board certification or equivalent, appropriate hospital privileges, and an unrestricted license to practice in the state where clinical training occurs.
  2. Precept Bethel University students for a minimum of three months out of the calendar year.
  3. Provide feedback to Bethel University on student performance via student evaluations.
  4. Faculty status is renewed every three years provided Adjunct Clinical Faculty continues to precept the minimum number of students.
