General Information

Anyone operating a vehicle on Bethel University property is responsible for knowing and complying with all University traffic and parking regulations.

Parking is regulated 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Finding a legal parking space is your responsibility and lack of convenient parking is not considered a valid excuse for violation of parking regulations. We reserve the right to restrict parking to anyone without prior notice.

Drivers are responsible to drive safely, yield to pedestrians, and follow the posted speed limit.

A vehicle is considered parked if it is left unattended for any length of time. This includes circumstances where the vehicle is left running and/or has the hazard lights on.

Bethel University and the Office of Safety and Security is not liable for any damage to a vehicle caused by, but not limited to, vandalism, theft, hit and run, collision, or acts of God such as wind, hail, or falling objects.

Parking Areas

Lot Locations can be found on the Campus Map.

Bethel lots are associated with a permit color to assist in parking constraints.

  • Blue Permits may park in all lots on campus during the day.  **Non-resident employees that are on campus past 1a.m. with a blue permit are only authorized to park in the East Lot South II or SOHO Lot overnight.
  • Green Permits may park in all lots on campus during the day.  **Non-resident employees that are on campus past 1a.m. with a blue permit are only authorized to park in the East Lot South II or SOHO Lot overnight.
  • Orange Permits may only pork in the SoHo Lot.

Permits are required for on-campus parking during the academic year; this also applies to breaks.

During peak times our lots may be full.  Locating a legal parking space is the responsibility of the driver. You may want to allow extra time when coming to campus.  If the main commuter lots are full, you are responsible to find a space or call us if you are having trouble.

 Visitor Parking

Bethel offers visitor limited visitor parking in the East & West Lots on the 3900 Campus and at the front of the Anderson Center.  If you are a visitor and cannot locate a space feel free to call 651.638.6400 so we may assist you.

If visitors are parking overnight, a Bethel community member must obtain an overnight pass on your behalf.
