There are a few things you can be doing to prepare for your transition to Bethel. As always, if you have questions, please let us know!

  1. Complete your enrollment.

Admissions will send you a list of important next steps to take, including housing and class registration details. Please complete all items on your enrollment checklist as soon as possible.

  2. Check your class schedule and listed major(s).

Once your class schedule is posted on the Student Academics page, please review it. Check that your transcript accurately reflects your chosen major(s) and the credits you expect to transfer in. To start the semester well, take time now to complete the tasks on the New Student Resources page

  3. Order your books.

Order your course materials online from Bethel's Campus Store. Avoid the lines and have your online textbook order delivered to your home before the semester starts! Email us at campus-store@bethel.edu if you have questions.

  4. Ask questions.

The following support offices are ready to assist you before you arrive on campus as well as during the school year. If you have a question, take time to reach out now:

Financial Aid: We're here to answer your financial aid questions. Please use our online scheduling tool to schedule an appointment with your financial aid counselor. Specify if the appointment is to be a phone call, a virtual meeting, or an in-person meeting.

    Business Office:
We're here to answer your tuition payment questions. See our online resources (videos included!) to make a payment, set up an authorized user for your student account, or learn about payment plans and due dates. Still have questions? Email us at business-office@bethel.edu.

Information Technology Services: We're available to help you set up access to the network, Wi-Fi, printers, Moodle (our course portal), and more. If you have questions before you arrive, visit our Getting Started page for technology basics or contact us at helpdesk@bethel.edu or 651.638.6500.

Sodexo Dining Services: Learn more about meal plans and nutrition and dietary requests. If you have questions, contact us at sodexo@bethel.edu or 651.638.6015.

Accessibility Resources and Services: We work with students with disabilities to eliminate barriers to learning and living in the Bethel community. Contact us at accessibility-services@bethel.edu or 651.638.6833 and learn how to request accommodations.

Advising Center: We're here to help you with academic course planning. Check out our resources for new students or contact us with general questions at advising-center@bethel.edu. You'll also have opportunities to connect with your academic advisor and learn more about majors once you're on campus.

Safety and Security: Learn about campus shuttles, parking restrictions, visitor access, and our campus services. Also, learn about our COVID response plan and protocols and read step 6 below. Contact us 24/7 at 651.638.6400, or email our office at safety-security@bethel.edu.
  5. Gather your things.

If you're a commuter student, apply for a parking permit and learn about parking guidelines.

If you'll be living on campus,
make a list of what to bring. Your room will have a closet, bed, dresser, desk, and chair. Review a
packing list from our residence life staff, or check out this packing list from a student's perspective. (These lists also tell you what not to bring: Two-prong extension cords, for example, are not allowed.) As you pack, label every box and item with your name and room number.

If you have a campus job or anticipate applying for one soon, bring documentation to complete an I-9 form. New student employees will complete their I-9 upon arrival.
  6. Review your arrival schedule.

If you're starting fall semester (end of August), review Welcome Week details. As always, if you have questions, please let us know. We're ready to help!
