Serving children and families in Tennessee, Erica came to Bethel to deepen her ministry in a season when young people are facing growing anxiety and pressure. Through her program, she found formation for the whole person and a network of ministry peers who support her calling. “The more we talk about truth, the more we can point people to God.”
Tarsha Sylvester S’25
Master of Divinity student
Tarsha’s seminary experience took her to Tel Shimron in Israel, where an archaeological dig gave her a tangible connection to the biblical world. The experience deepened her understanding of Scripture and placed her in meaningful conversation with people from many backgrounds. “I don’t care how much you know about the Bible, an experience like that shows you, in a tangible way, that Jesus walked.”

Chaplain at Catholic Eldercare
Ann pursued a Master of Divinity later in life as her calling to chaplaincy became clearer. Now serving older adults, she brings presence and care to people who can often feel unseen, while continuing her seminary preparation through Bethel. “We have three jobs: love Jesus, love and care for others, become the living gospel.”

Serving a multiethnic, multigenerational congregation in North Minneapolis, Edrin leads with a commitment to Scripture and holistic pastoral care. While studying for his Master of Divinity at Bethel, Cesar strengthened his biblical foundation while serving unchurched middle school students.
