Parking Violations, Enforcement, and Penalties Information

Vehicles that are found in violation of the motor vehicle regulations will be given a Motor Vehicle Violation Notice. There will be a citation fee associated with the violation notice based upon a graduated fee schedule determined by the offender's violation history. Violations must be appealed within 30 days if there were extenuating circumstances surrounding the violation. The Parking Appeals Committee reviews all motor vehicle violation appeals.

Upon receipt of a 7th ticket, driving privileges may be revoked until a review takes place

The Office of Safety and Security defines careless driving as, "carelessly or heedlessly in disregard of the rights of others, or in a manner that endangers or is likely to endanger any property or any person".

A second Careless Driving offense will result in a report being generated and referred to Student Life.

If a person receives a ticket for being parked in a disability space but has a valid disability tag, they can have the fine removed if they present the valid disability tag in the Safety and Security office within 72 hours of receiving the ticket.
