Our mission

Grounded in our Christian faith, Bethel’s Department of Education equips graduates for innovative excellence in K-12 classrooms and beyond. We prepare principled educators to serve and seek justice alongside their students and communities with compassion, humility, and knowledge.

Our values

We are committed Christ-followers who seek to apply our faith to all aspects of our lives. We join our students and their families, our school communities and neighborhoods in pursuing restoration and justice. We seek to build collaborative and meaningful relationships across differences.

We strive to apply responsive and inclusive pedagogies that are developmentally appropriate for all learners. We cultivate deep content knowledge and critical thinking about curriculum and practice as it is applied across diverse school and community-based settings. We develop dedicated professionals who value reflective practice and work toward cultural humility and competence. We recognize that commitment to these values requires educators who are able to face challenges with perseverance and care.
