The math education 5–12 major is designed for students who want to teach mathematics in middle or high schools. In this interdisciplinary major, you'll complete B.A. in Mathematics through the Department of Math and Computer Science while also completing the education courses required to meet Minnesota standards for middle and high school teachers. Our rigorous programs are taught by educators with firsthand experience working and teaching in their licensure area. Coursework provides opportunities to get in the classroom and do the work teachers do, while having time to reflect on your progress as an aspiring teacher.
