My Role at Bethel

Dean of Student Programs

Why You'd Contact Me

I have supervision responsibility for a variety of areas in our office (counseling, health, disability services, international student programs, campus engagement, the front office, and student care). Student Conduct & Care and Commuter students are students I get to interface with directly. I get the honor of walking with students through both good and difficult moments.

Reasons I Love My Job

My personal college experience was full of people who took the time to get to know me and help me discover more about who God created me to be. I believe college is such a time of discovery: You're learning how to be in relationship, figuring out who you want to be and what you might want to do for your life's work, and discovering things you're uniquely gifted to do. I love being part of that process for Bethel students. I also feel passionate about helping commuters find a place of belonging at Bethel. My job allows me to be part of those moments—what a gift!

In My Free Time

I love to hang out with my handsome husband and three children. I love to do crafts, cook, and travel.

Best Bethel Tradition

I love that both the beginning of a Bethel experience and the end of it are often bookended by people cheering for you. This happens when students move into Residence Halls during Welcome Week but also as they graduate and their faculty clap for them. This truly represents the spirit of Bethel.
