Choosing a Course for January Session

January Session is an exciting time to explore a wide variety of course offerings (including opportunities to study abroad).

If this is your first time registering for January Session, it’s important to know that while these courses give you the chance to focus on one topic, they also move at a quicker pace than a normal semester course. Consider your personal strengths as you determine which interim course you should take. For example, you might ask yourself:

  • Does this course require a substantial amount of reading in a short period of time? Is this a good fit for me?

One on one tutoring is NOT available during January, so if you anticipate you will need tutoring help with a potential course, it may be a good idea to delay this course to a regular semester. Discuss your unique needs and capabilities with your advisor if you need help choosing a class.
