Current Open Positions within Sodexo at Bethel University

We look ahead to Fall 2021 as a time where we can embrace community again on Bethel’s campus.  As we broaden our offerings for the fall, we seek culinarians, cashiers, serving staff, and dishwashers to help lead us into the school year.  We need people who have experience in large volume food venues as well as those looking to grow in their hospitality career.  Take a look at the opportunities listed below and follow the links to the online applications. Catering Coordinator - Full Time

The Coordinator will effectively serve as a point of contact for events such as caterings, reservations, bookings and other services. Cook - Full Time

We are looking for several good cooks for the upcoming 2021 school year.  We will need sauté cooks, production cooks, and grill cooks along with cold production folks.  As we reopen our dining center after Covid-19, we are planning to have more made to order options at our sauté and grill lines.  We also plan on having our large batch needs increase and our catering business pick up as well.  Some positions are week-day daytime hours and others will vary as business dictates to include evenings and weekends.  All applicants will be needed for sporadic large campus events that often occur on evenings and weekends. Dishwasher - Full Time

We are looking for our in person dining and catering to pick up when we open in fall 2021.  With that, we need a person who can oversee and work in our dishroom.  This person would be responsible for the general cleanliness of the kitchen, including trash removal and sweeping & mopping the floors.  The ideal candidate would be available mostly days, but also some evenings and weekends as business dictates. Daytime Cashier - Full Time

Sodexo at Bethel University is looking for an energetic, friendly full time cashier to work weekday, daytime shifts as a cashier in our fast paced coffee shop. This person will be primarily responsible for taking orders from customers and handing out the ordered items.  In addition, he or she will be part of a cross-trained team to help with our barista, hot food, and expo stations.  Generally this person will work daytime Monday through Friday, but may need to assist with large events on evenings or weekends as business needs. Catering and Office Assistant - Part Time

Sodexo at Bethel University is looking to expand their catering as we open this fall.  We need a person who can prioritize various tasks based on current needs with excellent customer service.  He or she will be a customer facing office assistant answering questions from students as well as taking and writing up catering orders from the university.  This person will take in person, phone and online orders for catering events and will communicate with customers to provide the best possible customer service.  In addition to working in the office, he or she will also help set up, serve, and tear down catering events as business needs.  The ideal candidate will work mostly week days with a few evenings and weekends as needed. Cold Pantry Cook - Part Time

We are looking for our catering and in person dining to pick up this fall in our 2021 school year and we are looking for a person with a flexible schedule who can support our cold pantry in large scale production, maintaining our salad bar, and supporting catering events as needed.  The ideal candidate would have a flexible schedule for about 15-25 hours each week to include some nights and weekends and will support a team of 2-3 others. Dishwasher - Part Time

Line Server - Part Time

As we re-open in the fall after Covid-19, we are looking for a few good people to help serve food in the main dining center during meals.  This person will be responsible for setting up and cleaning their line before and after the meal as well as serving food and general cleanliness of their station during their shift.  The ideal candidate will be available for a few meals throughout the week, and could work as much or as little as their schedule dictates.  We have daytime, evening, and weekend openings to fit nearly every schedule. Panini Cook - Part Time

The panini cook is part of a team in our a la carte dining location with Sodexo at Bethel University.  He or she will prep, setup, cook, and clean up his or her station and reset for the following day.  Typically, the panini station will see anywhere from 50-75 orders each evening and can be busy.  This person also assists in other areas of the business including, but not limited to, handing out orders, cashiering, cleaning the dining room, washing dishes, and other tasks as needed.  Generally, this person will work Monday through Thursday evenings, but the schedule could vary based on business needs and availability.
