Internships are a vital piece of the academic experience at Bethel. They provide structured, relevant off-campus learning experiences for our students while giving them the opportunity to apply classroom knowledge to practical applications.
Each year, students from our department fill over 100 internship positions in the community, contributing to organizations through new and creative ideas while providing short-term assistance. Internships give organizations the chance to evaluate potential employees and give students the chance to assess the fit between their career goals and the organization.
The Internship Experience
Internships provide students with valuable work experience, give them an opportunity to explore career goals, and contribute to the host organization through new and creative ideas.

Bethel equipped me with a variety of fundamental skills that helped tremendously throughout my internship. Throughout my time at Bethel, my faith became my own, which has played into the development of my value system. I oriented my sales approach around this and made sure my customers and coworkers knew that they were valued and loved. My business professors at Bethel also did a phenomenal job of preparing me for this role.

Overall the opportunities that I was able to take advantage of during my time at Bethel have definitely given me a well-rounded approach to the workforce especially in my initial exposure through internships because it was due to my internship that I was able to land a great job in the midst of the difficult circumstances that this year has presented.
