Though medical schools often require you to take certain courses in your undergraduate studies, they don’t require a specific major. But you can consider these majors as you prepare for a medical career. They are excellent choices to prepare you for careers in medicine, osteopathic medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, optometry, podiatry, chiropractic medicine, or as a physician assistant.

• B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology—offers a rigorous, interdisciplinary education that is a great option to prepare for medical school.
• B.S. in Biology—includes all prerequisite courses needed for medical school.
